Sometime in 1999, some madness led me to send a photo of myself with Yo-Yo Ma to the MAD Magazine's letters page for its MAD Celebrity Snaps column. The magazine then offered a 3-year subscription to whoever sent in a photo of a celebrity carrying a copy of MAD magazine, which was what I did. Lo and behold...
