PHOTOGRAPHS FROM PIANO, FOUR-TE! PARTY

PIANO, FOUR-TE! had to be Singapore's biggest piano party ever held, even bigger than those so-called Piano Extravaganzas. Held on Friday 8 November 2024 at the Yong Siew Toh Conservatory, it was a celebration of the keyboard in honour of Mr Tan Kah Tee (and Mrs Catherine Tan), music philanthropist and pianophile. Over the years, they had donated no less than three grand pianos to the Conservatory, including two Bosendorfers and its latest Fazioli.

Just before the concert with four grand pianos and sixteen pianists, an informal party was held at the Dean's Office, hosted by Professor Peter Tornquist. Even former dean Bernard Lanskey turned up from Down Under, so it had to be an event really important. A big toast to the Tans for their unwavering support for the Conservatory, its faculty and students over the years. Your generosity will never be forgotten.

A toast to Singapore's music philanthropists.
