It's the Grand Finals of the Singapore International Violin Competition and the musical illuminati of the land have come out in support. Four editions of Singapore's premiere violin event would not have been possible without the hard work of the Yong Siew Toh Conservatory, and the financial backing from the National Arts Council, founding supporter The Rin Collection, the Singapore Symphony Orchestra, and other sponsors like the Kris Foundation, Goh Soon Tioe family for the award of prize money. And the rest of us for moral support. Conservatory dean Peter Tornquist and his team laid out the red carpet in a post-concert reception, and may this institution continue to flourish.
