British Singaporean pianist MELVYN TAN returns to perform with CONCORDIA QUARTET in a unique concert presented by re:Sound Collective. Although Tan has been renowned for his work on the fortepiano, his explorations on modern piano have taken him to fresh new repertoire, and a rare performance of Erich Wolfgang Korngold's Piano Quintet. This is an exciting late-Romantic work with exotic harmonies and enchanting melodies, all wrapped up in a web of instrumental virtuosity.
The Concordia Quartet completes this programme of rarities with Prokofiev's First String Quartet (likely to be a Singapore premiere) and lighter delights of Dvorak's Two Waltzes.
