SUKA MAKAN: CAFE KLAING ARABICA @ SOSORO MUSEUM, PHNOM PENH, CAMBODIA

For this morning, we decided to skip the hotel breakfast and head for the Sosoro Museum, or Preah Srey Icanavarman Museum of Economy and Money. It's before 9 am and the museum has yet to open, but we found in its premises in an annex a nice cafe which also serves breakfast. Cafe Klaing Arabica is a nice and quiet, tastefully decorated, and has local breakfast choices which turned out more than fine.

The presence of Angkor Wat balustrades
and historical paper currency were nice touches.
...so was a giant teddy having a cuppa.

Noodles in soup were our breakfast of choice, Janet having a pork organ soup while I settled for the Cambodian equivalent of beef pho. With a coffee and matcha, we were well-filled for a day of sightseeing and exploring.

The Sosoro Museum deals with the growth of currency in Cambodia from the pre-Angkor period to the present. It is a numismatists' dream which also covers the history of the nation. Well worth visiting but first have breakfast here!
