CATS OF GEORGETOWN

Cat mural located just behind a
cat-themed shop on Acheen Street.

It's been ages since I posted photographs of cats. That's because I haven't been holidaying much, all thanks to the pandemic and restrictions to overseas travel. That all changed this year, when we made our first trip overseas in over three years. It was just a short three-night stay in Georgetown, Penang in late April-early May this year, where many stray cats find a home in its many guesthouses and eating places. People in Penang are kind to cats, and a cult has developed with murals devoted to cats to be found all over Georgetown's UNESCO global cultural-heritage quarter. Here are a few photographs of cats in Penang.

What better way to advertise for
a cat-themed shop by lazing right in front of it?
