It's just a five-minute walk from Esplanade Concert Hall. There are a whole bunch of eating places clustered in Citylink Mall that are ideal for a meal just before attending a concert. This branch of Waa Cow!, a Japanese eatery is by actual distance the nearest one to the Esplanade Tunnel.
We had an hour to spare just before the SSO concert, but that time cushion was a luxury. The service at Waa Cow! was so swift that we had more than enough time to slowly savour our meals and ponder life's imponderables over a drink, and still more time to slowly traipse our way.
Dishes are small, and one suspects this place to be absolutely packed at lunchtime but benefiting from a fast turnover. The food's really good, which certainly helps one finish a meal quickly. When we arrived, only two tables were occupied and nobody was eating. When we left, the restaurant was full.
