This food-court used to be a regular of ours, after sending our son to school. While he walked across the street to school, we sat down and tucked into a breakfast of noodles, porridge, prata or whatever. We were at Clementi Mall recently and decided to pay it a visit. The Food Pavillion [sic] food court had gentrified, having been renovated in the intervening years, and none of the stalls we frequented has remained.
No worries, we just had the same dishes we used to enjoy but served by different stalls now. The prices are still quite low, which explains why it is crowded at dinnertime despite the haze. Things change (the stalls and stall-holders), and somethings (the hawker dishes) do not change. And that is some relief.
