This year marks the 125th anniversary of the death of great German composer Johannes Brahms (1833-1897). To commemorate this momentous occasion, two pairs of concerts celebrate the musical genius of Brahms by his showcasing his chamber music and a piano concerto. World-renowned Brazilian piano virtuoso Arnaldo Cohen is partnered by cellist Qin Li-Wei, T’ang Quartet and Orchestra of the Music Makers directed by Lien Boon Hua.
Arnaldo Cohen has been described by Lord Yehudi Menuhin as “one of the greatest musicians I have ever heard”. He is best known as an interpreter extraordinaire of the music of Schumann, Liszt and Brahms. These concerts mark his chamber music debut performances in Singapore, having previously moved audiences at the Singapore International Piano Festival and performing Beethoven's Emperor Concerto with the Singapore Symphony Orchestra.
