There are many outlets of Springleaf Prata Place all around Singapore. This one is quite near our office, located at The Rail Mall. Like the others, Springleaf has a typical vibe of a mamak curry house or cafeteria in Singapore, that is quite open, very casual and not very intimate. Don't bring a date here unless he or she is a serious prata or murtabak lover and likes teh tarik sweet and foamy. This is like eating at Adam Road Food Centre except with air conditioning.

Having said that, its murtabak is delicious, and there is free flow of curries - both chicken curry and the darker and slightly sour fish curry. There are signs to exhort you not to waste your curry and not to talk too loudly after 10 pm (although nobody stays nearby), but there are no fines imposed. The prices are not much more than hawker centres and that is an inducement.
